The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is a government organization that has been set up to assist the qualitative improvement in school education in India. 6. NCERT Model Question Papers

NCERT prepares model question papers for class 10 and 12 and provides it to the CBSE. These model papers are prepared as per the guidelines issued by the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), 2005. Following the paper pattern of these model papers, the board exam paper for class 10th and 12th are designed. Frequently Asked Questions on NCERT

Are NCERT books enough for JEE?

NCERT books, undoubtedly, is the best reference book available for the JEE preparation. But, when asked if NCERT books are all that we need for the preparation, the answer is NO. We can say that NCERT textbooks are essential, but not sufficient, for the JEE preparation. Though 60-70 % of the questions appearing in the JEE exams are directly from the NCERT textbooks, these books lack the types of questions, MCQs, that are asked in the exam. The books of NCERT do not have enough problems with the JEE difficulty level, hence, students should make sure that they refer to books containing Multiple Choice Questions of higher difficulty level. Students appearing for the JEE Mains and Advance should also practise and solve the previous year question papers as well as sample papers. Since time management plays an important role in the Joint Entrance Examination, students should also learn to manage time.

Are NCERT books enough for class 10?

The Class 10 question paper revolves around the concepts explained in the NCERT textbook. Hence, we can say that NCERT books are enough for the Class 10 exam preparation. But, if scoring high marks is the aim, then practice is the key. Hence, once done solving the questions given in the NCERT textbook, one should make sure that he/she practices different types of questions from other reference books or online learning portals.

Are NCERT and CBSE the same?

CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education is a board which is the governing body while NCERT or National Council of Educational Research and Training is the counsel. The HRD minister said that the overall curriculum will be cut down by 50%.
