How to Fill The JEE Advanced Form
JEE Advanced application form can be filled online in 4 steps (Exam registration, the filing of personal and academic details, uploading the required documents and online or offline payment of the application fee). The JEE Advanced form once submitted cannot be edited and any mistake in the form could lead to its rejection, therefore, the applicants are advised to fill all the details very carefully.

Step 1: Visit JEE Advanced official website – jeeadv.ac.in to access the JEE Advanced application form link.
Step 2: To access the application form the applicants need to enter their JEE Main roll number followed by their date of birth.
Step 3: After the verification of details entered in Step-2, the applicants are required to generate a new password for JEE Advanced. After the successful generation of the password, the applications will be automatically redirected to the application form page.
Here, the applicants will be asked to enter the following details:
- Academic and Personal details
- Income and Educational details of parents
- Total Number of attempts
- JEE Main 2021: Application number
- The language of question paper
- Selection of JEE Advanced Examination Centre
Step 4: Upload the required documents.
Documents Required While Filling the Application Form
The applicants have to upload the scanned copy (JPG or JPEG format only) of the below-mentioned documents:
- Class 10th Mark sheets.
- Class 12th Mark sheets for students who have already appeared for their board exams in the previous years.
- Coloured photographs of the applicant.
- Scanned copy of candidate’s left-hand thumb impression along with their full signature.
- Candidates belonging to OBC-NCL, ST and SC categories are required to submit a scanned copy of their caste certificates.
- In case, if the name of the applicant is not the same as mentioned in the Class 10th mark sheets then a gazetted notification reflecting the change in the name of the applicant is required.
- For foreign nationals, candidates may have to present their passport, citizenship certificate and even testimonial if required.
The Specification For Scanned Images
- The size of the Photograph must be in between 10 to 100 KB.
- The Size of the thumb impression and Signature must be in between 5 to 30 KB.
- The Size of the certificates must be in between 50 to 300 KB.

Payment of Application Fee
Via SBI Card or Internet Banking
The payment for the Application Fee can be done via SBI Debit Card/ Internet Banking. An option of “Pay Registration Fee” will be available. On clicking it, the SBMOPS (State Bank Multi Option Payment System) page will open. There will be options available for payment such as SBI Debit Card or Internet Banking. When the payment is done, the candidate can get the print out of it with a URN (Unique Registration Number) on it.
Payment of Application Fee via SBI Branch
If a candidate desires to do the payment via cash, then choose the option “SBI Branch” and a bank challan will be generated automatically. Candidate needs to take the print of it and can pay the fee as cash in any of the SBI branches. When the payment is done, the registration details page can be taken out as print with a URN (Unique Registration Number) on it.
Forgotten Password And Retrieval
During the time of filling the application form if any candidate forgets their password or their application number, they can easily recover it. Both the credentials can be retrieved by following the steps mentioned below.
- Candidates can make use of the security question facility to retrieve the password. They can answer the question that they have set during the registration process.
- Verification code is also sent to the registered mobile number of the candidate via text message.
- Candidates also have the option to reset the password via the link sent in their email address.

JEE Advanced is the 2nd phase of IIT JEE and is conducted by one of the seven IITs for granting admissions into undergraduate courses (10,572 seats) offered at 23 IITs and ISM. Premier institutes like Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Indian Institute of Science, and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research also grant admissions on the basis of marks scored in JEE Advanced.
