Every year, on the final Sunday of January or the first Sunday of February for upper secondary students, the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education conducts the INPhO exam. Students in grades 11 and 12 must first pass the NSEP exam in order to be eligible for the INPhO exam. In addition to representing India in the International Physics Olympiad, this exam is used to screen applicants for the Physics Orientation-Cum-Selection-Camp.   • To begin the registration process, visit the official website;
  • Choose the Olympiad option;
  • Next, click on upcoming events;
  • Enter the NSE center code, roll number, and date of birth to enroll in InPhO;
  • At the time of registration, students must choose an examination center.

The NSE registration service requires students to pay an enrollment fee of Rs. 150 in order to register for the INPhO exam. There is an enrollment fee for each topic for each student.

Eligibility Standard

There are many qualifying standards for each Olympiad exam that students must meet in order to take it. To take the exam, applicants must fulfill the INPhO eligibility requirements. The prerequisites for INPhO eligibility are as follows:

  • Applicants who did not start college or university before June 1st.
  • In order to compete in NSEJS, the candidate must possess an Indian passport.
  • The applicant needs to be a citizen of India.
  • The candidate’s date of birth must fall between 1 July 2002 and 30 June 2007 (both days are included).
  • The candidate must be a resident of India, have been studying in India since November 30, 2019, and not have passed the 12th board examination before the specified date.
