As this year commenced, the Board initiated to conducted the CBSE class 10 Board exams in two semesters. However, this initiative was taken to overcome the crises bestowed by the Covid-19 pandemic. As its repercussion, the Board was not able to conduct the CBSE class 10 Board exams. As a result, the CBSE class 10 Board exams result was declared based on the score of the internal assessments.
Class 10 Board exams
Prior to, Covid-19 pandemic the Board used to conduct CBSE Board exams annually in pen and paper mode. Students who have cleared their 9th standard examination from any acknowledged board get an opportunity for appearing in the CBSE class 10 Board exams.
Moreover, students used to pay the examination fees to register themselves for these exams.
As a result, of the disastrous covid splash the board was compelled to postpone the CBSE Board exams 2021. Due to the rapid spike in covid cases, the CBSE board declared the exam results on the 3rd August 2021.

What’s in store of CBSE Board for Exams in 2022
- Conducting Board Exams twice a year
This year the Board has taken the initiative of going ahead by conducting the CBSE Board exams twice a year. Each term syllabus will contain half of the syllabus.
- Changes in the Exam pattern
Term 1 of the Board Exams 2022 will be conducted in MCQ format whereas term 2 exams will be conducted in subjective and objective mode following the previous pattern.
- Reduction of the syllabus by 30%
Due to COVID19 adverse spread, the schools were forced to shut and conduct online classes. As a result, This created a barrier and academic sessions were quite delayed. the CBSE Board same as last year has decided to continue with the eliminated syllabus thereby deducting the academic burden on students and teachers alike.
