About IAPT

The organization that oversees the Physics Olympiad for India is the Indian Association of Physics Teachers, or IAPT, in collaboration with the HBCSE. Its objective is to raise the standard of physics instruction and physics educators both domestically and abroad. The National Graduate Physics Examination, the National Standard Examination in Chemistry, the National Standard Examination in Biology, the National Standard Examination in Astronomy, the National Standard Examination in Junior Science, and the National Standard Examination in Physics are all administered across India by the IAPT in November of each year.

Next Exams

The top thirty students are selected for the International Physics Olympiad Training Camp, which is often hosted at HBCSE, from among the top 1% of first stage achievers who go on to compete in the Indian National Physics Olympiad. At this point, a team is selected for the International Physics Olympiad, and the team, an IAPT Leader, and a Deputy Leader go on to the test. The NSE (NSEP, NSEC, NSEB, NSEJS, etc.) is administered by IAPT this year, while the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) is in charge of the later stages. INAO Eligibility Criteria

Subjects Covered

There are three primary topics covered in the INAO exam. They are astronomy, mathematics, and physics. The National Standard Examination in Astronomy (NSEA) and the INAO test have the similar structure, although the INAO exam has far harder problems. It integrates ideas from physics, math, and astronomy textbooks published by CBSE. The purpose of the 10-point grading system for INAO questions is to evaluate a candidate’s capacity for higher-order thinking.INAO Eligibility Criteria
