IMO Eligibility Criteria for Classes 1 to 12
For students in grades 1 through 12, the School Connect Olympiad (SCO) organizes the International Maths Olympiad (IMO). CIIE.CO, Villgro, Start Up Oasis, and the team at IIT and IIMS provide funding and incubation support for SCO IMO.
For students in classes 1 to 12, the goal of SCO IMO is to instill mathematical reasoning, everyday mathematics, and questions based on mathematical concepts.
All students in grades 1 to 12 can obtain free online IMO practice questions through SCO IMO.

Students in classes from 1 to 12 are eligible to take part in the online and offline IMO Olympiad, which is held worldwide and is highly valuable.
The IMO qualification requirements for students are determined by the cutoff marks and percentile scores that SCO Olympiad has announced on the official Olympiad website.
To effectively organize their yearly preparation for the IMO Olympiad, students need adhere to the annual cutoff marks prior to the test.
IMO Exam Structure
The question paper consists of four sections:
Section 1: Mathematical Reasoning
Section 2: Everyday Mathematics
Section 3: Case-based question
Section 4: Achievers Section
(i) There are 5 exam dates for every exam, and there are distinct question papers for every test day.
(ii) English is the test language.
(iii) Test papers are set using the State Board, ICSE/ISC, and CBSE syllabi.
(iv) The test is conducted both offline during school hours and online on the exam day at the convenience of the students.
Level 2: Students in Courses 3 to 12 are intended for this level. The requirements that follow must be met to qualify for the second round:
- International Level: The top five percent of applicants come from all over the world in each class who take the first exam.
- Zone/State Level: Top twenty-five students in each class and zone.
- School Level: If ten or more students from a class take the exam and receive at least 50% qualifying marks, the student with the greatest result in each class will be acknowledged.

All students in classes 1 to 12 can take the Level 1 IMO test, which aims to encourage students’ interest in mathematics and mathematical thinking.
Students have the chance to take periodical assessments using a variety of sample papers and mock tests through the School Connect Olympiad for IMO in Classes 1 to 12. This is helpful in identifying areas of strength and weakness for the before annual Math Olympiad.
Level 2 IMO Exam Eligibility Criteria
Qualifying for Level 2 IMO is one of the greatest achievements for students as it’s a rigorous filtration process from Level 1 to Level 2 IMO.
Students participating in IMO Level 2 reached to this level only after meeting various qualifying criteria.
