Nordic Mathematical Contest

The Nordic Mathematical Contest (NMC) is one of the leading regional mathematics competitions for secondary school students, students from five Nordic countries Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Denmark participate in this competition.

The National Mathematics Competition (NMC) is held annually in different host countries according to a set schedule. The host country prepares a question paper with 4 questions, each scoring between 0 and 28 points. A complete solution to a problem earns 7 points.

Danish Biology Olympiad

The National Biology Olympiad in Denmark is comprised of a school round, a regional round (Semi-Final Round), and a National (Final round), along with student participation in training rounds.

This competition involves a series of elimination rounds, beginning with numerous participants and narrowing down to the top 30 in the semi-final round, and ultimately selecting the top 15 participants for the Final round. The top 4 participants from the Final round then represent Denmark in the International Biology Olympiad Round (IBO).

Each round of the Danish Biology Olympiad includes written tests on various biology and biotechnology topics, such as cell biology, biochemistry, physiology, ecology, genetics, and evolution. The Semi-Final round includes practical laboratory rounds, and the workshop round focuses on daily Biology or Biotechnology subjects.

ScienceOlympiaderne is a prestigious Danish Science Olympiad competition that features a series of contests for high school students in Denmark. The main aim of ScienceOlympiaderne is to inspire and nurture scientific talent among students, and to encourage their participation in the competition, fostering both national and international acclaim.

The competition involves subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

For Mathematics – The prime focus is to challenge participants with advanced mathematics problem and their deep understanding.

For Physics – This encourages students to challenge the theoretical and practical aspects of Physics subject.

For Biology – The prime objective of this competition is to challenge students with their knowledge and its practical application in biology subject.

Danish Computer Science Contest

The Datalogi-Dyst (DDD) is a highly esteemed Danish Computer Science competition designed to provide high school students with an opportunity to test their skills in solving programming and algorithmic problems. The competition aims to cultivate interest and essential skills in computer science among young students in Denmark.

DDD serves as a qualifying competition for the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), a prestigious international computer science competition.

Datalogi-Dyst (DDD) consists of two qualifying levels to reach to National championship, in the first round 20 small tasks take 45 minutes to solve.(No Knowledge of Programming is needed here),the best solution is to invite to the training camps with teaching and training programs, to equip them to participate in the second round.

The Second round is a programming round where participants get time to solve the larger programming task and submit it.

In this rigorous two-step process, the top 25 participants were identified as winners and received additional training through specialized camps and intensive teaching to prepare for solving complex programming challenges. The 6 best participants will form the Danish team at a regional Olympiad for countries around the Baltic Sea. Based on their outstanding achievements, 4 participants will be chosen to represent Denmark at the international Olympiad IOI after receiving further training at additional camps.
