Eligibility Criteria

There are particular prerequisites for each Olympiad exam that students must meet in order to take it. Candidates must meet the NSEC eligibility requirements in order to take the exam. The prerequisites for NSEC eligibility are as follows.

  • The candidate’s date of birth must fall between July 1, 2002, and June 30, 2007, inclusive; students must hold an Indian passport.
  • Students must have been enrolled in an Indian educational institution since November 30, 2019, OR they must have been residents of India as of that date.
  • The Class XII board exam or its equivalent cannot be anticipated to be finished or passed before November 30, 2021.
  • The candidate cannot have enrolled in or intend to enroll in courses at a university or other comparable institution by June 1, 2023.

The main objectives of the National Standard Examination in Chemistry are to encourage student excellence internationally and to include as many students from around the nation as feasible. In NSEC, the top 300 students will have access to INOC.
